Gîtes des Bodins
There are many things at Gîtes des Bodins for adults and children to do. While you are relaxing in the gardens or by the pool the children can be playing with
- Children's toys and games for a range of ages.
- Outdoor equipment with swing, slide, small bikes, table tennis and
ball games.
- Large fenced pool with 1 meter shallow end and wide steps for safety - toys and floats available.
We have tried to make Gîtes des Bodins as child friendly as possible, however, we advise parental supervision at all times as would normally be the case.

Horse Riding. This needs to be pre-booked during the high season.
- Walking distance to tennis court and sports ground.
- 10 minutes to Villefagnan and a beautiful man-made beach with children's play areas and activity equipment. A sandy beach with swimming in the fresh water lake, boat rides and shady picnic areas.
- 80 minutes drive to the Atlantic Coastline of Royan.
Miles of sandy beaches with boat hire and trips along the pine tree lined coast where you can stop for picnics in the shaded eating areas. Lots of fun searching for fish and crabs in the rock pools. All manner of shops and restaurants to suit every taste.
- 20 minutes to Jarnac for boat hire and trips on the beautiful Charente River.

40 minutes to the Nautilus Aqua Centre with wind-surfing and water slides.
- 30 minutes to Rouillac with its water park, canoeing. kayaking and pleasure boat hire.
- Futuroscope......... a virtual reality theme park with fun and entertainment for all ages.
Exit 28 on the A10 motorway is 2 minutes from the Parc du Futuroscope main entrance.
All restaurants in the area are very child friendly and most provide children's menus and high chairs. We can give you some good ideas on places to eat and help you to book.
All small villages and towns have colourful markets, street entertainment
and festivals of music and food with theatre throughout the season.
